Elementary Education
You know what's crazy? Well, a lot of things actually, however here is one, some elementary schools in town contract Fast Food establishments to provide school lunches. Yeah, That's Brain Food Right? Nothing like a filling lunch of greasy fried food to put you to sleep for your afternoon class. Are we the only country that our children turn in not only their homework but also their classwork with French Fry grease on it? No wonder why the "Dog Ate It" it smelled like Taco Bell...
Other schools are offering hot lunch, but loaded with sugar and preservatives, why? Well kids like it, so they eat it or maybe its cheap... Is eating garbage really cheap? What if you ate candy bars everyday? How much would you spend? Ok, now add in the cost of going to the dentist, without insurance, what would your cost be now? Then when you go to the Dr because your stomach hurts, your head hurts and you feel fatigued all the time and don't forget how much money you DIDN'T make because you missed work. What's your cost now? Hopefully that creates a better picture of what the side effects of unhealthy food actually costs. Now, how expensive is eating a healthier diet that doesn't cause cavities, diabetes, nausea, fatigue, and chronic illness, but instead, gives you energy to concentrate and perform better. Helps children stay awake, study longer, concentrate on the teacher and pay attention to what they are reading. No worries about missing school anymore because our kids are sleeping better and waking up feeling rested, thanks to a healthy way of living.
